'Longevity' is a word Paul Lewis of Phillips Farm Machinery likes the sound of. So much so, in fact, that he has an overwhelming confidence in the future of the Hamilton-based New Holland dealership. With over 20 years experience in the local region and a genesis built on farm machinery mechanics, Paul believes he has been buoyed by recent events in the dealership scene.
According to Paul, "Sales and Service are our specialty". It is clearly evident that Phillips Farm Machinery is a cut above the rest.
With strong performance to support this, it is not hard to see why they have become a dominant supplier of medium-sized tractors and large round and square balers in the western districts of Victoria. Excellent customer service is their focus which is a testament to their business longevity in the industry.
The main driver of the business, according to Paul, has been the development of the United Agri Group, of which Phillips Farm machinery is a proud member.
The formation of the United Agri Group brings together four fellow New Holland dealers in the South Australian towns of Bordertown, Pinnaroo, Karoonda and Meningie.
Paul encourages that it brings many progressions to the region and a raft of benefits for customers including more diverse trade-in opportunities, better buying terms and an expanded staff of over 60 professionals.
"There are machinery issues that other members of the group have far more experience than I. If our clients require information on a range of machinery needs not only can we supply the information, the group's dynamics now allow us to supply the 'know-how' and even personnel from another members to help provide machinery solutions."
