The Fendt VisioPlus cab: Ergonomics with a broad view
The Fendt VisioPlus cab with its unique glazed areas sets the benchmark for overview and visibility. The interior has impressive high-quality workmanship. As is typical for Fendt, the controls are logically placed and well thought-out and the Vario is easy to control. A first-class workplace.
All-round visibility: Front...
The upward viewing angle has been tripled. The downward sight lines have also been optimised and it is easy to see into the wheel arches.
… and rear
The cockpit is positioned in the cab in such a way as to optimise visibility to the front and rear. The components at the front and rear are also fitted in such a way that they do not impair visibility. For example, the hydraulic control block for the rear valves is positioned on the right-hand side, under the cab. Furthermore, the window dips down low, which permits an excellent view to the lower link hooks and the linkage.
Optimised interior lighting
The interior lighting in the 700 Vario is perfectly designed for the important areas. An LED light illuminates the entire entry area. The right armrest with the control elements is also illuminated with a suitably positioned LED light. The ambient lighting is ideal, if dimmed light is desired.
Handle on rear window
A special feature of the 700 Vario is the vertical handle in the rear window, which is always within reach.
The segment wipers can be set to intervals, like in passenger cars, and clean the front window reliably. The exclusive parallel wiper offers optimum wiping characteristics (in photo).
The opaque roller shade in the front serves as a glare shield when the sun shines low. What's special: It is tailored to the curved shape of the front windscreen and covers the complete width of the window. Furthermore, it holds in any position and disappears completely in the roof liner when it is no longer needed.
Pivoting multi-function display
The dashboard pivots along with the steering wheel, when it is adjusted. It is therefore always in the best ergonomic position for the driver and always in full view.
There is space for a meal and a cool drink in the air-conditioned cooling compartment.
Tidy and straightforward
The air-conditioning, radio, tachograph and VarioGuide guidance are neatly installed in the roof liner. The devices are perfectly positioned so they do not impair visibility and it is easy to accommodate retrofit solutions.
Integral cable lead-through
Fendt offers a clever solution for cables that run from the rear of the tractor into the cab. The rear window can be closed, so dirt and noise stay outside.
Plenty of storage options
In a Fendt cab you will find many different stowage spaces and compartments, so that everything has its place. For example, three stretch nets, which can be reached from the ground, stowage compartments around the driver seat as well as a bottle holder.
Hinged front window
Membrane keypad for hydraulic implement lock and activation of the damping.
Stretch nets can be reached from the ground
The stretch nets under the passenger seat in the front of the cab are positioned so that they can be reached from the ground – operators do not need to climb into the cab to get things out of them.
The modern operating interface with the large Varioterminal 10.4“ or the slightly smaller Varioterminal 7“ can be easily controlled, either per touch or using the keys on the operating element.
Mounting areas: versatility with an overview
The maximum lift capacity at the front is 4,418 daN. The comfort front linkage has optional load relief control, which can be adjusted using the Varioterminal. It uses the double-acting front linkage valve to lower the implement and transfers the weight of the implement to the front axle. This is a particular advantage when operating a snow plough or a front mower in grassland operations, since implement guidance can be quickly adjusted to uneven surfaces. Relief springs for the mower are no longer required.
Lighting at its best
The ingenious lighting concept on the 700 Vario doesn’t leave you in the dark. The work lights on the 700 Vario can be individually adjusted for up to 360 degrees of illumination. Xenon or LED lights are available as an option.
Engine and transmission: Perfectly coordinated for maximum economy
With up to 240 hp, Fendt clearly expands the power spectrum of the 700 Vario series upwards. With the SCR technology, the 700 Vario complies with emissions standard Euro Stage 3b (= Tier IV interim) and consumes up to ten percent less fuel* (in comparison to 820 Vario). With an average fuel consumption of 20 l per hour, that means that 20,000 litres of diesel are saved after 10,000 operating hours. Another advantage is that exhaust after-treatment takes place after combustion and therefore has no effect on it. The engine is optimally tuned and achieves a very high degree of power efficiency.
Powerful cooling system
The compact cooler unit is very easy to access and can be easily cleaned thanks to the large spaces between the radiators and the flat floor.
The smart heat exchanger design lowers hydraulic and transmission oil temperatures, which has a positive effect on the efficiency and lifetime of the tractor.
Easy access to engine compartment
The engine compartment is very easy to access for inspection and maintenance, even when the front loader mounting parts are attached. The one-piece bonnet with two separate side panels can be opened without tools.
Fuel consumption indicator
The fuel consumption indicator not only monitors the current consumption, but also logs the consumption for different operations. Furthermore, it assists the operator in maintaining an efficient driving style.
Overall profitability - Leaders drive Fendt
Efficiency: the recipe for successful economical operations
We make no compromises when it comes to efficiency, because our objective is to be the leader for cost-effectiveness per hectare and kilometre. The very best technology is just good enough here, for example, as is found in the 700 Vario: the highly efficient Vario drive train and the fuel-saving SCR technology in combination with TMS. These further increase the already first-class efficiency of the Vario and reduce costs per hectare and kilometre.
Award in Lithuania for across-range operating interface
Ten medals were awarded at the beginning of April 2013 at the international agricultural trade fair “Ką pasėsi” at the Aleksandras Stulginskis University in Kaunas in Lithuania. The agricultural equipment manufacturer AGCO/Fendt received one of the coveted awards for new products and innovations in agricultural engineering for its across-range operating interface concept, Variotronic, which enables ease of operation in the tractors, the Katana 65 forage harvester and now also in the C-Series harvesting machines.
Fendt presents the CargoProfi front loader at the AGRITECHNICA 2011. The Profi loader is based on the tried and proven Cargo front loader. Sensors installed in the 5X arm allow completely new features to be realised. Innovations, such as the weighing and memo functions, make work with the front loader even easier and enormously increase efficiency. The jury gave these developments a silver medal.
Load relief control for front linkage
A silver medal went to another innovation from Fendt. The load relief control for the front linkage promises optimum adaptation to ground contours. It transfers part of the weight of contour-hugging implements to the tractor. Relief springs are therefore no longer required during mowing operations. Active detection of uneven ground with the aid of a position sensor on the front linkage permits dynamic adjustment to changing ground contours.
Gold medal in Poland
The trade fair Polagra-Premierey, which is held biannually in the Polish city of Posen, was also a success for Fendt in 2012. Because Fendt once again received a gold medal. The award went to the 724 Vario.
IF Product Design Award/ Reddot Award
The new 700 Vario is not only technically brilliant, but also looks fantastic. The series was honoured with two world-renowned and prestigious international design awards: the iF product design award 2012 in gold and the RedDot Award. “Power, dynamics, performance – those are the qualities that characterise a tractor. The Fendt 700 Vario also has an independent and striking appearance, which is exceptional for this area – the details are a bit evocative of the design of trucks in the USA,” according to the jury's statement for the iF award.
Machine of the Year
Fendt was pleased to receive the “Machine of the Year” award of the Deutsche Landwirtschaftsverlages (DLV) agricultural publishers at the official awards ceremony held at the Agritechnica. The publisher's technology editors chose the 700 Vario as the best tractor and named it the “Machine of the Year” in the category tractors in the upper mid-horsepower segment.
German Design Award
The Fendt 700 Vario series not only convinces with its many technical innovations, but also through its appealing design. After receiving the prestigious international iF product design award 2012 in gold and the RedDot Award, the tractor now has also won the German Design Award of the German Design Council in the category “Special Mention”. This is the first time that the council has awarded this design category, which recognises works whose design shows particularly successful partial aspects or solutions.
